FireDrums is an event that brings together flow artists from around the world with the mission of uniting the cultures of fire dancing, fire performance arts, and flow arts. It strives to achieve this mission by organizing events where participants can creatively explore, share, and teach their art forms in a safe and inspiring environment.
FireDrums Workshops 2018
Workshop instructors are selected every year through a variety of means including Special Guest Invitations, Sponsorship Applications, the Video Tutorial Contest, and Volunteer Applications. It should be generally understood that FireDrums is a small, tightly knit event created by flow artists for flow artists, and therefore operates in a manner intended to sustain the event’s intimate nature for years to come. As such, FireDrums should not be thought of as a “gig” for financial gain, but intended to be a valuable and enriching experience where participants and instructors alike can gather, learn and grow together.

FireDrums attracts flow, fire, circus, juggling and performing artists from around the globe for an incredible intimate weekend of skill sharing, practice, play, and performance. The aim of the workshop department is to create a rich learning environment to support the development, collaboration, and proliferation of these arts by facilitating a unique series of workshops and classes throughout the course of the event. The primary attractions are spinning, hooping, juggling, and similarly related fire and flow arts workshops, but FireDrums also hosts a strong live drumming and aerial arts program in addition to a variety of performance, dance, business, and yoga workshops. Firewalking will also be returning to FireDrums this year!
FireDrums is a camping event. All camping is walk-in tent camping. You should be prepared to carry all of your personal camping gear from parking areas to nearby tent camping areas.
If you have questions or concerns regarding accessibility for those with disabilities, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss parking and camping options.
FireDrums is a Leave No Trace event. You must bring your own garbage bags to carry out any trash and recyclables you generate. Trash service will not be available. Pack it in, pack it out. Your cooperation in keeping the venue clean will allow FireDrums to return to the venue in the future.
