  • My doula expertise lies in offering emotional and practical support, encouragement and reassurance and non-biased information.

My philosophy is to be the calm in the room and to hold a safe space for women so they can explore the intricacies of their mothering journey along with their families.
Antenatally you will have the opportunity to talk over any concerns, work out your birth preferences and get to know me as your doula, as birth is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

My most important role during birth is to provide nurturing, continuous support and reassurance.

Postnatally I will give you the opportunity to talk things through, and just chat, talking over the birth is a usual part of this. But I can also be there to support you through concerns about siblings, feeding, going back to work, sleep, whatever your needs may be, all can be supported and it would be my privilege.

I aim to support the whole family to ensure a positive birth experience and postnatal period. A positive birth does not mean easy. Its hard, but its also very beautiful. Ina May Gaskin says, “The energy that gets the baby in, gets the baby out!”

Every woman deserves a doula and who wouldn’t love a doula to walk with them on this incredible journey?!
